One of the most spectacular seventeenth-century Portuguese christmas cribs, shaped by Machado de Castro.
Dating from the 18th century, it is influenced by the tradition of christmas cribs from the north of the country.
The only christmas cribs signed and dated by Joaquim Machado de Castro (1766).
