Description

Located in one of the most visited Lisbon viewpoints, with the same name, the Church of Santa Luzia, dedicated mainly to Saint Blaise, is the Portuguese seat of the Order of Malta, and has been originally built in the 12th Century under the initiative of several knights, in the vicinity of the Moorish Enclosure. Rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake, the current church, with a single nave, shows simple features and conserves a set of 10 tombstones from the primitive construction.
