The church of the former Home of Our Lady of Lapa, for orphan boys, founded in 1755 and renovated in 1764, became the parish seat in 1770 (until 1886, when the seat has been transferred to the Basilica of Estrela). It has polychrome tile panels in the vestibule and, in the chancel, a wood carved altarpiece and the ceiling with decorative stucco.
