In 1766, the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Glory decided to build on this site a chapel to host the statue placed in a niche in front of the gallows that existed here. It contains several decorative elements, such as the late 18th Century tile panels, the floral polychrome frames and, in the chancel, the altarpiece and the medallion painted in the dome, which is attributed to Pedro Alexandrino.
