Mission and nature

The museum centre of the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, managed by the Cultural Centre of the Patriarchate of Lisbon, has the dual function of presenting to visitors an understanding about the building complex of São Vicente de Fora and its historical evolution, as well as promoting the knowledge about the evolution and configuration of the diocesan territory and the history of the bishops, archbishops and patriarchs of Lisbon.
