As part of the program of events associated with the World
Youth Journey Lisbon 2023, QuoVadis – Tourism Lisbon
Patriarchate invited Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação
Visual to produce an exhibition reflecting a contemporary
vision of Antonian themes, on the basis of the collection of
texts “Legends and Miracles of Saint Anthony in Portugal”
assembled by the Museu de Lisboa-Santo António.
Students and invited artists, in coordination with the
school’s Jewellery and Illustration/Comics departments,
have interpreted in very different ways their chosen
episodes from the infancy and youth of Saint Anthony,
creating the objects and graphic works presented here.
The exhibition runs in parallel with the show Vita Prima.
Saint Anthony in Portugal, held between June and
December at the Museu de Lisboa-Palácio Pimenta.
