Dear friend Sara,

I write you this letter because lately I’ve been thinking a lot about you and your brother. I heard that you became a Carmelite, and that Nuno, after studying architecture, decided to follow the priesthood…

 

The triangle is the first and simplest structure on which thought can lay its foundation. Afterwards will come all the other things, of which I intend to speak to you and from which it is of little use to flee.

To secure life, from the inside out, and not to deny the impossibility of generating it, so that within it I may be with you—as a pretext for existing.

 

A body that comes and goes.

A line of time that surpasses us through the story that was once told to us.

 

I recognise that to be is more than to embody love, and to embody love is more than to be human.

That is why, if seeing you is good, believing in you is sublime.

 

Continue us.

Because about continuing, I know of myself how much I have longed and still long for it.

And so, I wait for You.
